Job interview at project week
Hier geht´s zur deutschen Version. By Sven Müller-Entenmann.
Today, on Friday the 16th December 2016, Richard Burns, a tutor from Cumbria, England was the highlight of our project week “A step into the world of work”.
He led job interviews in English with our students from grade 9 under real conditions.
During that week our students learned to study job profiles, filled in questionnaires to find out more about their personal qualities and interests, wrote their own curriculum vitae and letters of application and finally learned to prepare themselves for a job interview in English.
At the interview the students were really excited to test their skills on a native English speaking person. It was a great chance for them and most of them did it quite confidently.
We were all very pleased that Mr. Burns gave us the opportunity to get a real contact to the English speaking world of work. And we are all sure it was a remarkable event for our students.
